Bachelor of Fine Arts in industrial Design

The School of Industrial Design’s BFA program gives students the freedom to pursue their personal
design visions within a structured and supportive academic environment. Led by a faculty of industry
veterans, students are taught to approach their work with equal regard for aesthetic, business, and societal
considerations. Industrial design programs provide a solid foundation in general design, visual arts and art
history as well as extensive hands-on experience to prepare graduates with the background and skills
needed to confidently shape the world through design. With a focus on sustainable and social design as
well as form development and functionality of the design concept, the program approaches design from a
human-centered, environmentally conscious perspective.
